I don't know what dinner time usually looks like in your home, but for us, it's, well, for lack of a better word, fun. Pike loves food, but we are currently avoiding all wheat as he seems to be intolerant/allergic. The girls like a variety of food but usually not when it's placed on their own plate. So, dinner time looks like this: We make the kids their watered-down version of our food (a little less colorful/less flavorful than ours) and give it to them. I feed Pike his mushier/gluten free version of our food. Then Stephen and I get to eat and feed all three kids off our plates like little birds. For example, last night, we made the girls their cheesy pasta rather than our onion basil pasta and we offered them steak but they turned it down. Stephen and I sat down with our gorgeous plates and of course, they started chirping for bites. Whoever sits by Jovie can usually hardly get a bite in edgewise! Either way, we are blessed. We are well fed and so are our kids. I am looking forward to getting to eat a meal with a little less chirping some day though.

I remember these days! we finally eat like a respectable family over here (: everyone has their own plates and I even started placing all dinner items on the table (even when they are hot) never thought that day would come! (:
We just watched a video of Valen when he was about 11 months old and he was making very similar noises as pike between bites... it was so funny, like he couldn't even wait 2 seconds for another spoonful! so cute!
