Home Sweet Home

I can officially say we're moved in. I love the Olympia/Tumwater area. Stephen and I are discovering new restaurants, shops, coffee shops and fun things to do in the area.

We have only tapped into the surface of doing more with family and friends in the area. I am so excited to have a bigger part in my siblings' lives and become better friends with them. I am also excited to spend more time with my brother Chase and his wife-to-be Rebecca. Claire, Laurel and Melina, (Stephen's sisters,) are all going to have to stop by for cards or afternoons in Olympia. Oh, it's so much fun. It's so nice to be close enough to stop by for a visit and not have to drive for hours upon hours.

I took some pictures of the house. In case you didn't already know, it is a duplex. We will live in the upper unit and rent out the lower unit. The upper unit is approximately 2000 square feet plus a 2 car garage. The space we have now compared to the small Lake cabin which was pushing 700 square feet is amazing!

Yes, we're moved in but there is much work to be done. Over the next few months we will be getting rid of that hideous carpet in the kitchen, the gold tub in the bathroom has to go and yes, the stained glass windows in the bedroom, good-bye! Along with many other improvements this house is sure to look different. I didn't take any pictures of the downstairs unit as it is a work-in-progress. We are almost finished with the kitchen. Stephen is in the middle of painting the living room. And carpet should be coming in a couple of weeks.

Don't you just love that last picture--Pear's room, now maybe sleep won't be a foreign word. Hope all is well.

The house looks just great- and I can't wait to visit more!
I went with the fam to the Christian Heritage conference this weekend- it was so encouraging! I hope you and Stephen can come next year (though with two little ones that will be interesting...) anyway, it was wonderful. See you soon!
