I don't know what to write!

I don't know how it's already the end of January. I don't know how two and a half weeks have elapsed since I wrote a blog post. I do know that I don't have any new pictures to post because it seems some little monkeys took the adapter to download the pictures from the camera to the PC.

Stephen has slept on the couch in the family room probably half of the nights in the last month. Yep. I threw him in the dog-house! No. Seriously, he has been a wonderful dad and husband and offered to sleep in the family room with the girls because they've had a horrible lingering cough for what seems like an eternity. Our kids don't handle colds well. A cough often leads to spitting up in our home. I have changed bedding so many times over the last couple of weeks because rather than trying to hold a cough in, my girls go into a coughing fit over the slightest tickle and then they decide to stick their fingers in their mouths and gag themselves! Seriously, who does that? Where did they learn this? I don't know I just hope to get it under control. When these coughing fits, or runny noses which cause crying and whining and yelling down the hall, happen, Stephen or myself has to get up and walk down the hall to comfort and calm whoever it is making the fuss. Sure, some people could just let them whine. Some people could close the door and drift back to sleep. But not us. We have tenants living directly below us in our duplex and the volume our girls cry, let's just say I'm surprised they are still below us. Thus the reason we rush out of bed to comfort them. On top of having tenants below us which we are trying to not disrupt, Pike is still in our room as we only have two bedrooms. Pike is a light sleeper. Almost every time either Stephen or myself get up, Pike wakes up as well. And when this crying of the girls occurs every 30-45 minutes throughout the night, it's hardly worth going to bed! Thus the reason Stephen so kindly and unselfishly offers to sleep in the family room. I am so thankful to have a husband who is willing to take one for the team and sleep on the couch when needed.

That's just what's been going on through the night. Maybe I'll find time tomorrow to write a little about our days!
